I think I am going to vomit!

So it is Saturday...almost noon, and what do I find in my oven? I find the turkey that we tried to recook from Thanksgiving afternoon. Oh my goodness...I really wanted to vomit. Steve had to triple bag it and we threw away the pan that it was baking on because I didn't have the stomach to clean it. I feel like I need a shower now...so I am off! eeeewwwwwwww!

*so the secret is out now...I haven't cooked anything for my family in two days!! And now that my oven is on the self cleaning right now...make it 3!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Today was a fun, semi-relaxing day! We had great food, great company and almost...almost, no accidents.

This year we thought that we would try something new so we got a Char-Broil infrared turkey cooker thingy. It was supposed to fry a turkey without all of the expensive oil and the hot mess it makes! Well, turns out we didn't quite do it right. The turkey turned out extremely dry in places and raw in others....disgusting!! I wish that I could take it back. It wasn't cheap! I will have to email them and tell them how much their product stinks!! Steve also forgot to pull out the giblets!! Even more disgusting :) But the Crompton's brought a Smoky Mo's turkey and it was fantastic! Thanks for saving Thanksgiving. We had a ton of great food...turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, rolls, green salad, ambrosia, green bean casserole, candied yams, veggie tray, pheasant pot pie (wasn't willing to try that one yet!) and last but not least, some really tasty pies. Thanks ladies for a great feast!

After dinner came the kid fun. The kids played some sort of game that Mike White thought of...and yes, it included wrestling. The kids were supposed to get the ball that was tossed and the first person to get it to Mike got a point.

And if the wrestling didn't get someone hurt like it did last year,
then our day was not finished yet!! Right as the White's were leaving, Gabe fell on a scooter and cut his eye open. I should have taken him to get a few stitches, but it was by his eyebrow so we figured we were pretty safe!! Let's hope he doesn't hate me for that later!

It was bound to happen!

Kyle and the girls went to the skate park for a birthday party and had a great time...until this! Steve took Kyle to the ER and they took x-rays and fitted him with a boot. We had to follow up with the doctor to see if his foot was broken. Which it wasn't...thanks heavens! But he did sprain it pretty good! At least he was wearing a helmet :) What a crazy kid!

And yes...I took all five kids to this dr.'s appt. Everyone looked at me like I was mad! I was beginning to think I was mad too :) But we made it!

Where have you been all my life?

for me to get this!!!! Oh and believe me, it was totally worth it! I cannot believe that I have waited 11 years to get the car of my dreams. I know what you are all thinking out there...it's a minivan...A MINIVAN!! But you have no idea, unless you own one yourself. It is so nice putting 5 kids into this vehicle. I still have storage when I am done!!! I cannot tell you how much more convenient this has made my life...it is definitely a dream come true. I feel bad that Steve had to lose his car in the process, but I soon got over that :)

This car is decked out...Steve said that if he had to have any part in driving a minivan (he has been dead set against it for years!) that he wanted the best of the best. I was going to drive the Beast until it died (the Beast is the Expedition). It has been a really great car! Now that Steve gets the pleasure of driving it, he doesn't see the need for it to die before he gets his car...go figure. It was ok for me to drive it til it died, but heaven for bid he drives it for a few months!! Oh well...until then!!So for all of you that are completely against minivans, you never know until you drive!! My challenge to you is to go out and drive one. You will be hooked!

*For those of you wondering, some guy ran a stop sign and plowed into Steve at about 40 mph. He was just fine but unfortunately (or fortunately for me!) his car was a complete loss.

Happy 13 years....+ an eternity more!!!

Today we celebrated 13 years of pure marital bliss....haha!! It has been quite a ride baby...but I have loved every minute of it!! Thanks for being such an amazing, supportive, helpful, loving and kind husband! I couldn't have found anyone more perfect than you! Here is to the rest of eternity... xoxo

I had a fun party sponsored by Making Memories Slice and Canon... We made fun cards...ate yummy pumpkin dump cake...and tested these great products!! Thanks Making Memories for the awesome aprons that we will all wear proudly!! We love your stuff and used only your stuff in all of our cards!! Gotta love it :)

This Canon printer is really cool too...you just plug in your camera and print a 4x6 picture. Really fun!

Look closely at Sara in the next three pics... she didn't change her posture or her smile a bit!!! I have about 10 more where these came from and she has the same beautiful smile on each one! In the meantime, Tammy & Jeannie were doing there darndest to keep us all laughing... Tammy is a beautiful poser!

Happy Birthday Halle!! BIG #6!

For Halle's 6th birthday we went to the Acrotex Gym. It was a great place to hold a birthday party. I think that the kids really enjoyed themselves. They were able to run around and do all of the stations...ie. trampolines, bars, foam pit, rock wall, beams, rope lines, rings, etc. So much fun!! I think that Steve had a lot of fun too. He found it a challenge to do what the male gymnasts do! Halle got lots of fun presents that she played with as soon as we got home. Kassadi gave Halle a really sweet card and then Halle gave her a hug after she read it to her...sooo cute and touching. Thank you to all who came! It was a great party.
