Allman Family Pictures FINALLY!

This was an amazing thing that we Allman's were able to pull off. We were all together for a day! Chad and his family and there brand new baby, Brent and his new family, my family and Brooke's family. AMAZING that we actually got together! It worked out great. We went to the Ogden Union Station. It had some really great architecture.



I love this picture with all of the grand kids. It is absolutely impossible to get everyone to even look at the camera.





I just love this picture of my parents. Aren't they just the cutest couple ever? They have been married for 37 years now. Crazy :) I love you both very much.



I love this picture of my dad and Gabriel. It took a while for Gabriel to warm up to him. But I know that he loves him and that he will always remember his Papa! This picture only proves that.



Gabriel has a great relationship with Kyle. Kyle is so great with him :) Gabriel would follow Kyle anywhere!



Brent...this only solidifies the fact that you need to add another baby to that family of seven! You were so stinking cute with Gabe!



It really was a great time being together. Afterwards we went to Warren's to eat. I think that the workers there thought we were crazy. Can you imagine all of walking in and ordering all of that food?? They actually didn't screw up our order too bad. The food was pretty good too. It is an experience that I will always remember. I love seeing all that came because two people fell in love :)

Kassadi's Baptism

One of the main reasons for all of us to travel to Utah was to baptize Kassadi in front of family and friends. My whole family was able to be there. Brooke came with her kids from Arizona, Chad came with his family and his less than a week old baby from Colorado. Brent was there with his new family too. It was such a beautiful program. Guy Johnson and Stephanie gave the talks, which were really beautiful. You could really feel the spirit there. Before the program started, the girls drew on the chalk board. This is what they did:



Kassadis Babtisam

I love it! Here is the classic picture of Father and Child to be baptized.



So when I was eight my mom made the dress that I was to be baptized in. And it was really cute! I wore it proudly! I also wore hot pink underwear that when the dress was wet...yeah you know what I mean. Anyway, for years I have held on to this dress. I don't think that I ever intended for any of my kids to wear it, but I just thought it was really special. So I hauled it around. It hung proudly in my girls closet for years. Kassi always asked me when she could wear it. I just kept telling her...when you turn eight, you can wear it to your baptism. Well a couple of houses later, she was turning eight. I had packed it to come to Texas and hadn't seen it since. Well a couple of days, a lot of tears and even more prayers, I found it packed away at the bottom of the most unlikely box. I found it the day we were to fly to Utah. Talk about divine intervention. I would have been devastated if I couldn't find it. She looked great in it. Yes it definitely looks like it is from the eighties (because it is!) but she didn't care...she realized the importance of wearing it. She even wore it to church when they welcomed her into the ward.



The confirmation was a beautiful prayer given by Steve. It was really touching. The men in the circle were: Bro. LeFevre (presiding), Guy Johnson, Steve, Scott, Randy, Dad, Grandpa Allman. I am so grateful that I could have my Grandpa and Grandma Allman there.

We had great refreshments!! We had Little Caesars Pizza and a yummy cake from Dick's Bakery. Gabriel got tired of waiting for someone to feed him!

Pilgrims Landing Friends

When we moved to Pilgrims Landing we never thought that some of the people there would have affected our lives the way that they did. We have so many great relationships that will last a lifetime. We didn't have a lot of time to visit friends, so Erin arranged for all of us (minus the Christofferson's and the Hoops...Jeremy came for a minute) to meet and have dinner at The Old Spaghetti Factory. Who came: Johnson's, Goettig's, Meacham's, Kim Davidson and Rice's.We had such a great time. They even put us off in our own little room and shut the door. I am sure that they did that for their other customers benefits! I have to admit that getting a lot of kids together who haven't seen each other in months can be a bit noisy! The kids had a great time running around in circles and posing for pictures.



The friendships that I have with these girls is really special. I am so incredibly grateful for the examples that they have been to me. I am especially grateful that they all still want to keep in touch with me! I love you girls. Thanks for all that you do for me. We always have a lot of laughs and I always know that I can turn to each of you for guidance and support.

Utah in the Fall

Fall is my most favorite season ever. And can I just say that Utah in the fall is stunning. I love the colors, the smells, the fresh air (some of the time!) EVERYTHING! I just love the fall. It was so nice to arrive in Utah to the wonderful colors. Especially up by my parents house in Eden. It is so magical up there. I could sit on the deck, wrapped all snuggly in a blanket because it is cold and just enjoy the scenery. If I could move back to Utah...this area would definitely be my first choice!



Need I say more?

Bowling...Need I say more!!

My dad actually took a day off to spend some time with us!! Just kidding dad...I realize that you are a busy man ;) Anyway, we decided to go to Fat Cats and go bowling. We first had lunch at The Pizza Factory...really good! Then we went bowling.

Steve absolutely hates bowling, so he decided that he was just going to watch. Now I should tell you why Steve is so silly about bowling. He thinks that he is going to get some kind of disease or something by putting his fingers in the bowling ball and his feet into the stinky shoes. Come on honey, live a little. That is all I ask! He did actually try a frame. (I think that he liked it, and just won't admit it!!)



Now I think that the girls had a thing for the really cute shoes. Halle especially wanted a pair for herself!



Now I personally don't have a problem with the shoes or the disease infested ball. What I do have a problem with is...my kids and my dad whooooooping my behind! I truly sucked it up. I can't remember what the score was, but I had half the points of my kids and I even tried! But I tried to make the best of it!



My dad bowled like a champ! Gotta love a cute dad in bowling shoes!



My mom I think is a bit like Steve but won't admit it! She too didn't bowl, but she did keep Gabriel happy. It was really great spending time with my parents. I love you guys and I know that my kids will love having this memory of you both.

Colquitt Family Pictures

First night in Utah we were able to meet up with the Colquitt's for family pics. I think that they turned out pretty good. What do you think?











We went to Woodland Park in Farmington to do them. It is really difficult to get everyone to smile at once...probably the reason that we took over 200 pics! I think that a few of them will work. Kyle was holding the two babies and Gabriel just wouldn't have it...he continued to try and hit Cohen in the face! I did get some cute pics of the three of them. The kids had a great time running around. Kyle liked it because he brought his skateboard and was able to do tricks in the ampitheater. Check out this jump!



It is a miracle he hasn't broken any bones yet...yet alone his skull! WEAR A HELMET!

After we were able to get the locked car trunk open (Steve locked the keys in the trunk and the car being as old as it is, has to have the car turned on to open the trunk! Go figure...)we then went and ate at the Cracker Barrel. It is nuts there, but the food is fabulous. I like going there with kids because it seems pretty laid back. I am sure that all of the other patrons don't appreciate it, but OH WELL! You should have gone to a nicer restaurant!!!

How cool is that?? I love that we are on a couple of Making Memories products!! I have such a passion for "collecting" scrapbook products, that this is just super cool! Thanks mom for thinking of us ;)I am not super fond of the picture of Steve and I, but oh well...I am published!!! I love that picture of Kyle and Kassadi. I took that during my photography class a couple of years ago. I think that it turned out pretty good!
