Easter Day

I tried to get a good pic of all of the kids together before church, but Gabe was not being cooperative.







Okay Jamee--you asked for it! Here is a pic of my big fat belly!!! AAAHHH! I am not sure how I can get any bigger, but I am sure that I will manage ;)





Kassi went to a party on Saturday at a place called Justice and they gave the girls makeovers. They came home with wild, cute hair. It was all pulled up in bobby pins. Surprisingly, Kassi liked it! She is very picky about her hair (you would never guess it, but she is particular!) Well, Kassi and Halle wanted me to repeat what was done the day before. So after church we played with hair!! I think that they both looked sooo cute! I did Kassi's hair for school today the same way and apparently some of the kids laughed at her because it was poofier than her normal flat hairdo. Oh well, I told her they were all jealous because she is so dang cute!!



We went to the Townsends for Easter dinner. We had such a great time. They had several other couples over. The company was lots of fun. The big boys hid all of the eggs outside for an egg hunt. (or should I say they threw the eggs??)



Gabe was soo disinterested in egg hunting. He had found a couple of balls that were much more entertaining than picking up an egg. Oh well! He looked cute trying :)





The girls did really well with the hunt. Halle got the golden egg that had $5 in it. She was sooo excited. Kassi got an egg with a $1 in it. Cool!! I love it.



This is a pic with the girls...sorry Sara and Bekah...you were already gone when I thought about taking a pic. But we really had a wonderful time hanging out with great friends. Thanks again, Townsends for an awesome party.

Our Saturday...

I feel like sometimes we have too many projects going on in our house. We can't seem to finish one and then start another. We tend to start many projects and maybe eventually one will get finished. Well, because our deck is such a huge project, I decided to forgo the swingset (because that is yet another project the Steve would have to put together.) Instead, we decided to get the kids a trampoline for Easter. Little did we realize that it would take all day long to put together! Kyle started putting it together while Steve and I ran a few errands.



He did a great job and did almost everything right...ALMOST! Unfortunately, he put all of the bars facing the wrong direction. Steve then stepped in and help him fix the little problem...



The girls tried to help a bit too...





Steve also did a little bit of planting in between. We found a soda can inside our plant too...CRAZY!! Yes, this is one of the unfinished projects...the stairs to the deck are done, but the top isn't! But Steve wanted to put some pretty bushes there anyway. I promise Dad...the deck will get finished soon! One step at a time!!!





Steve then thought it would be fun to put some more screws in the deck. I thought it was so cute that Gabe wanted to be just like his Dad and put a screw in his mouth too.





After all was said and done, the kids were actually able to enjoy jumping on the trampoline for a bit! Gabe loved it. He loved being bounced around by the kids.

Gabe and His Hair

Gabe has beautiful hair and he loves to have it done. I tell him that we have to do his hair and he heads for the bathroom and gets the spray and brush. He has such great curls. Steve wants it to get really moppy, which is surprising because when Kyle was a baby, as soon as his hair got the least bit long (and he had great curls too) Steve wanted it chopped. He didn't want him to be mistaken for a girl! (Not possible...Kyle was very cute!) Well, you better believe that I am going to leave Gabe's hair moppy for as long as I can possibly get away with. He is just soooo edibly cute! Love you Gabey Baby.

Our Daughter "SPILL"

You may say..."WHAT?" Well, Halle, for years now has been known in our family as "Spill." Steve thought that it would be fun to document a couple of times of why she has received this nickname. You can always tell where Halle sits because when she gets up there is a pile of food all around the plate and usually on the floor. These two occurrences happened in just 2 days!! The first one was when she was eating her cake it just magically appeared all over the floor! The second one was when she was clearing the table and the plate just happened to end up on the floor. Sorry mom...I love the dishes too (good thing there are eleven more!) Hence her nickname "Spill." We love you Halle and we are sooo grateful for the joy that you bring into our home.

Gabe's New Trick

It is a bit hard to tell, but Gabe is actually holding himself up between the two couches and lifting his legs. I think that he would make a great gymnast...but don't tell Steve I said that!



I had to take a picture of Gabe after he finished his ravioli. He insists on feeding himself! I love it. (Erin...I am sure that you are dying on this one!) I promise it all cleaned up nicely :)

More Visiting & Goodbye :(

We had fun playing with the kids while the boys did their building. Gabe loves to play in the tube and the huts that Halle got for Christmas one year.







The girls wanted Mimi to play Mystery Date (a board game.) They had a lot of fun. It was fun to see them interact. Although, the game kept going, and going, and going...
Halle ended up winning!! (With a little help, of course!)



I love this picture of Gabe riding Halle's doll bike and talking on the phone. He is definitely starting early :)



Saying goodbyes are not easy! But I am so grateful for the time that we were able to spend together. Grateful for the memories that we will have to last a lifetime. Thanks for visiting us and come back soon! We love you both very much.

More of Mimi & Papa's Visit (Building a Deck)

Besides doing a little sight-seeing, we needed my dad's help to start our deck!! We know that he is an expert decker (builder guy!!) So we utilized his services. Thanks dad. It is going to look absolutely amazing when it is all done. Here are a few pics of the progress. Kyle got really good with the drill and other tools.









They even worked in the rain for a bit! Thanks boys...I can't wait til it is completed. I will post pics of the completed project.

Mimi & Papa's Visit to Texas

We had such a great time when my mom and dad came to visit. Unfortunately, the weather was not so cooperative! We have had such amazing weather the past couple of months and then when my mom and dad arrived the weather was cold, windy and rainy! What is up with that? Oh well, we had a wonderful time anyway.

While they were here, we did lots of fun things. Of course, my dad came prepared with a boat to look at down in Austin!





This is mom saying: "Curt, you would have to sell everything you own before you could even think about getting this boat!" You gotta love my dad...always a dreamer. :) Who knows, maybe their next visit they will be driving that boat home!



We took a drive down to San Antonio to visit the Alamo and walk along the Riverwalk. It was sooooo crowded. Apparently, we came during the reinactment of the Battle at the Alamo. We ate at the restaurant, County Line. It was just okay and our waitress was not the most friendly. But we had to make sure that my parents had real BBQ before going home. We should have taken them to Rudy's instead. Sorry guys!





Gabe loved watching all of the people walk along the river.





When I think of the Alamo, I think of this huge fortress where a big battle took place. Well, the Alamo is tiny!! But it is a beautiful piece of architecture.



After we were done with all of the sight-seeing, we stopped for ice cream and snow cones. YUMMY!!
