Kyle turned 12 last month and received the Aaronic Priesthood. (I don't think I am old enough to have a 12 year old!) He was "excited" in his own "tweener" way to be passing the Sacrament. Steve & Kyle went on the Youth Temple trip to the San Antonio Temple to perform baptisms for the dead. Kyle said it was "cool." That is about all I could get out of him! I hope that this is an experience that he will remember for the rest of his life.
I am so grateful to be a member of this great church! Grateful for the wonderful blessings that we recieve as an eternal family. I am especially grateful for my Savior Jesus Christ and for his loving guidance and example.

That is so exciting!!! I'm sure you are very proud!
By the way, I LOVE all the subtle convert-the-world-one-blog-reader-at-a-time links! Very smart!
Weren't you so nervous for his first Sacrament passing. I totally had stage fright for my son when he did it last month for the first time!
That is awesome!! That was probably a great bonding moment for Steve and Kyle.
WOW!!! Kyle you are toooo BIG. That is so cool that he did Baptism's. What a great example for his sisters.
i was nervous but i had to giggle a lot too...kyle wouldn't look anyone in the eye and he was dragging his feet! it was pretty entertaining! but there was a really great teacher that helped him out! he loves it.
Holy Cow! You have a 12 year old. How old are you? That is so awesome that Steve and Kyle could go to the temple together. You hope it is something that Kyle never forgets. What about Steve. Do you hope he forgets? Ha! Can't wait to see you!!!
That is so cool. And cool he could share that memory with his dad.
Have I mentioned how awesome I think Kyle is? I hope my boys are as great as he is.
Chelon I have to tell you that I totally teared up watching Kyle be baptized for his first name. He had a little grin on his face the whole time...he knew he was doing the right thing. I felt a little guilty for watching so close (since that was such a special moment for him and Steve) but I couldn't take my eyes away. I love working with the youth and LOVE watching Kyle adjust to this new group. Sometimes I just want to give him a squeeze but I know that would DEVASTATE him if I did, so I (too) just giggle to myself. What a cutie, and NO you do not seem old enough to have a 12 year old :)
Kyle that is such a neat experience and especially being there with your dad. I still remember my first time going to baptisms in the Oakland Temple and feeling so good and special after. We are so proud of you, continue to be a good expample to your brother and sisters for they will surely follow in your footsteps. Hopefully we can make it down to Texas sometime this year and partake of the sacrament that you pass:)
You must be soooo proud!! :) That is so neat!! I remember being able to do that when I turned 12. What a great experience for him!
That is awesome!!!!
And cool Dad was there with him too! You guys are great parents!
Wow, congrats. I love the temple.
I'm curious how far you had to travel - I didn't realize you're that close to San Antonio. I'm sure it was worth the drive!
that is great! I cant believe he is twelve. that is crazy! hope all is well with your family!
Chelon, it feels good to know that that was pretty much all you could get out of Kyle regarding his Baptisms for the dead experience. I feel like I am pulling teeth to get much more from Trenten!!! Love ya tons!!
